Privacy Notice

Istanbul Wheelchair (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for visitors from the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When you make a reservation request we collect:

• your first and last name, phone number and email address;
• your hotel name or delivery address, rental dates and preferred delivery time;
• the height and weight of the person who will use the equipment, so that we can provide a wheelchair or scooter that is safe and suitable for them;
• the equipment and service you chose, and the price we quoted.

When you browse the site our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics that only report aggregated visit statistics.

• To handle your reservation, contact you about it, deliver and collect the equipment — necessary to enter into and perform a contract with you (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam or automated abuse of the booking form — our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and tax record keeping (KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç); GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Vercel Inc. (USA) — website hosting, security and cookie-free analytics;
• Resend (USA) — delivering the reservation email to our team;
• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — the Turnstile check that protects the booking form from bots;
• Google (USA) — the map embedded on our contact page, if you view it.

Because these providers are based outside Türkiye, your data is transferred abroad. We rely on your explicit consent, given when you submit the reservation form, and on the safeguards these providers offer (KVKK Art. 9; GDPR Chapter V). If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies.

We keep reservation details for as long as needed to complete your rental and resolve any questions about it, and afterwards only as long as the law requires us to keep records. After that the data is deleted or anonymised. Your details are not stored in your browser.

Under KVKK Article 11 and the GDPR you can ask us whether we process your data, get a copy of it, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its processing, learn who it was shared with, and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already took place).

To exercise these rights, email info@istanbulwheelchair.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you live in the EEA, to your local data protection authority.
