What to expect in Sarıyer
Sarıyer is the northernmost district on the European shore of the Bosphorus, stretching from Rumelihisarı and Emirgan past İstinye, Yeniköy, Tarabya and Büyükdere to Rumeli Kavağı, where the strait opens towards the Black Sea. Inland it includes the Maslak business district, the wooded hills of Belgrade Forest and Zekeriyaköy, and the Black Sea beaches at Kilyos.
It is one of the greenest and most sought-after parts of the city. Visitors come for Bosphorus fish restaurants, the spring tulips in Emirgan Park, the Sakıp Sabancı Museum, the fortress of Rumeli Hisarı and shopping at İstinye Park, while business travellers stay around Maslak.
The coast road is mostly level, with waterside walks in several of the old villages, but the land rises steeply just behind it. Rumeli Hisarı itself is a steep, stepped fortress, and many hillside homes are reached by stairs or sharp gradients. Keep routes along the shore rather than across the hills where possible.

Getting around Sarıyer with a wheelchair
The M2 metro serves Maslak and the inland business area, ending at Hacıosman. Along the shore, buses run the full length of the coast road, and ferries call at piers including Emirgan, Sarıyer and Rumeli Kavağı on Bosphorus routes. Kilyos and the forest villages are mainly reached by bus or car. The gradients make it hard to get between the metro and the coast under your own power, so plan a taxi for that stretch.
Lifts, ramps and boarding help can change from day to day; check with the operator or venue before you rely on them.
Delivery to Sarıyer
For Sarıyer an additional location-based delivery fee applies, and the amount depends heavily on where you are, since Maslak, Tarabya and Kilyos are very different distances from the centre. Tell us the neighbourhood and full address rather than just Sarıyer. Handover is at hotel reception or the building entrance; for waterside villas or homes up steep lanes, tell us where a car can stop safely.

Is Emirgan Park suitable for a wheelchair?
Emirgan Park is large and laid out on a hillside above the Bosphorus. Some paths near the lower entrances are fairly gentle, but others climb steeply and surfaces vary. During the April tulip season it gets very busy. Plan to stay on the lower paths, bring a companion for the slopes, and arrive by car close to an entrance.
Can I visit Rumeli Hisarı in a wheelchair?
The fortress was built on a steep slope, and its interior consists of uneven ground, steps and ramparts. Wheelchair users can appreciate it from the coast road and the lower areas, but going up is not realistic for most. Check current access with the museum before visiting, as restoration work can change what is open.
How much does delivery to Sarıyer cost?
Sarıyer is outside our standard delivery zone, so an additional location-based fee applies on top of the standard delivery and collection charge. It depends on your exact address rather than the district name and is confirmed with your quote. Send your hotel or street address and dates for a full price before you commit.
