In this guide 8 sections
Step 1: Choose the right equipment
Start with how the user will get around. Manual wheelchairs suit most sightseeing trips and fold for taxis and car boots. Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters help with longer distances but are heavier and need charging. Rollators, walkers and crutches are walking aids for users who can walk with support. Each product page lists the model’s capacity and dimensions, and our team can suggest a model if you are unsure.
Step 2: Send your dates, address and measurements
Send your request through the booking form or WhatsApp. To confirm the right equipment we need:
- your rental dates and your expected arrival time at the accommodation;
- the full hotel or home address in Istanbul, and the collection address if it is different;
- the name on the hotel booking, so the front desk can receive the equipment;
- a contact number that works in Turkey, ideally on WhatsApp;
- the user’s height and weight;
- doorway widths, lift sizes and any car or taxi transport you are planning.
Step 3: Get your confirmation and quote
We confirm availability for your dates and send the total: the rental rate for each calendar day, the delivery and collection charge, and any refundable deposit. Rentals are counted by calendar day, so a few hours on one day count as one day, and rentals longer than seven days get a discounted rate.
Our standard delivery and collection service covers Fatih, Beyoğlu, Sultanahmet, Taksim, Bakırköy and Zeytinburnu; other Istanbul addresses carry an additional location-based fee, quoted for your exact address. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery are free of charge.
Step 4: Handover at your hotel or home
We deliver to your hotel, apartment or private home at the agreed time and show you how to fold the equipment, use the brakes and, for powered models, charge it. You can pay on delivery in cash or by card, or by a secure payment link after the quote is agreed. If you prefer to collect from our store in Aksaray, book an appointment first; a refundable deposit and a copy of your ID are required at the store.
We do not hand over equipment at Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen, so plan the arrival-day delivery to your accommodation.
Step 5: Collection at the end of your stay
We collect from your hotel or residence in Istanbul on the agreed day. The collection address can be different from the delivery address; the fee is then based on both locations. If you need more time, ask to extend before the end date, subject to availability.
How to rent a mobility scooter in Istanbul
Our scooters are seated mobility aids, not standing e-scooters or motorbikes. Before booking, check that your hotel has somewhere to store the scooter and a socket for charging, and that the lift is large enough. Scooters are heavier than wheelchairs, so tell us if it needs to travel in a car; some models come apart for transport. Istanbul’s historic districts are hilly, so plan routes with the scooter’s limits in mind.
How to rent a stroller in Istanbul
Send the child’s age and weight with your dates and address. Check the folded size if you will use taxis, trams or ferries, and choose equipment within its stated age and weight limits. A baby car seat is a separate item; check vehicle compatibility on its product page. For an older child who needs a wheelchair rather than a stroller, see our kids wheelchair.
What to check before you book
A few checks with your accommodation and itinerary save problems on the day:
- the width of the room and bathroom doors compared with the chair’s width;
- a step-free entrance and a lift large enough for the equipment;
- the boot size of any car or taxi you plan to use;
- hills, steps and cobbled streets on the routes you plan to take.
